MANILA, Philippines — The complaint against three senators will now be tackled following the formation of the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges.
The ethics committee will be led by Sen. Joseph Victor Ejercito with Sen. Francis Pangilinan as vice chairman.
Its members include Sen. Risa Hontiveros and Erwin Tulfo for the majority bloc. The other members, from the minority group, are Sens. Joel Villanueva, Christopher Go, and Ronald Dela Rosa.
The committee was constituted after the minority bloc named its three members to the panel.
Ejercito earlier said he could not start tackling the complaints against Sens. Francis Escudero and Risa Hontiveros until the committee is formed.
He is also facing an ethics complaint for allegedly not acting on the case filed against Escudero for allegedly accepting campaign funds from a contractor.
