 A 63-year-old man died after his bicycle was hit by a vehicle on Jalan Tanjung Lipat, with police investigating under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987

KUCHING: A 63-year-old man died after the bicycle he was riding was believed to have been hit by a vehicle on Jalan Tanjung Lipat, Batu Niah.

Miri police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said the 5.30 pm incident occurred yesterday evening as the victim cycled from Pasar Batu Niah towards Kampung Tanjung Lipat.

He stated the victim died at the scene from severe injuries.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact Investigating Officer Insp. Mohd Faizul Ab. Rahim at 014-8582582 or 085-430479.

Witnesses can also visit the nearest police station to provide information. – Bernama
