
- A senior hospital boss has been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in connection with the ongoing investigation into killer nurse Lucy Letby.
- Cheshire Constabulary carried out a search warrant at a property on Wednesday, leading to the individual's arrest and subsequent bail pending further inquiries.
- The arrest is part of 'Operation Duet', which is investigating corporate manslaughter and gross negligence manslaughter at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
- The individual arrested is understood to be one of three members of the hospital's leadership team who were previously arrested in July last year on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
- Lucy Letby, 35, is currently serving 15 whole-life orders for murdering seven infants and attempting to murder seven others while working at the Countess of Chester Hospital's neonatal unit between 2015 and 2016.
