Kota Kinabalu: Sepanggar is developing a master plan for balanced urbanisation, said Higher Education Minister Datuk Mustapha Sakmud.
The plan would involve collaboration with the Institute of Development Studies and sought expertise from Universiti Sabah Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and other higher learning institutions (IPTS).
“We aim to organise villages, arrange shops and meticulously plan tourism centres and educational areas. This is part of our master plan,” he said.
He said the master plan could serve as a guideline for decision-makers, ensuring informed development decisions and avoiding actions without proper reference.
