SEPANGGAR: The current expansion of the Sapangar Bay Container Port slated for completion by 2025 is expected to have a multiplier effect on the state's economic growth, according to Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Shahelmey Yahya.
He said the strategic relationship between DP World, a top provider of global smart end-to-end supply chain logistics, and Sabah Ports, will attract more foreign direct investments and shipping businesses to Sabah.
The State Public Works Minister was also convinced that port activities will spur economic growth in Sabah.
Shahelmey said this during his visit to Sabah Ports, here, Tuesday.
