
SANDAKAN: Friends of Sea Turtles Education and Research (Foster), in collaboration with Trinity Arts & Music Academy, is organising Sepilok Jazz Academy, here, May 4.
Foster encourages musicians, especially the youths interested in jazz, to register.
Meanwhile, Foster President, Alexander Yee Kok Tsen, emphasised that the Sepilok Jazz Academy is not only a platform for experiencing and showcasing talent in the jazz genre but also a catalyst for participants’ involvement in healthy activities and personal development.
“Sandakan’s musical talents and those from across Sabah and Malaysia are warmly invited to join this transformative programme and make a significant impact on the world of jazz music,” Yee said during the Sepilok Jazz Academy’s launch in Sandakan, recently.

The presence of the Sepilok Jazz Academy is expected to not only provide a cultural boost but also stimulate economic growth by attracting tourists from both domestic and international regions.
The event promises various learning opportunities and stellar performances by talented artists.
The programme coincides with the third edition of the Sepilok Jazz event on Sept 6-7, at the Rainforest Discovery Centre, Sepilok, Sandakan.
Foster thanked Sabah Tourism Board and MASwings for their support in the upcoming events.
This initiative aims to shape Sandakan’s artistic and economic landscape.
