Serial killer given whole life order for murdering men who were found in woods

  • James Desborough, 40, has been handed a whole-life order at Winchester Crown Court for the murders of Claudio Aquilino, 57, and Daniel Coleman, 43.
  • Desborough murdered the two men last year before dismembering their bodies and concealing them in woodland located in Cornwall.
  • A jury at Winchester Crown Court found Desborough guilty of both murders following a five-week trial.
  • He had previously admitted to the charge of preventing the lawful burial of Mr Aquilino and Mr Coleman's bodies.
  • Desborough is already serving a life sentence for strangling his 65-year-old prison cellmate, Steven Kempster, at HMP Exeter, an act he committed while on remand awaiting trial for the double murder, reportedly due to Kempster's snoring.
