
MEMBAKUT: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) donated RM32,000 to Muslim communities in the district in conjunction with Aidiladha.
Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Arif said the donation included sacrifices and wakalah zakat to the deserving group.
SESB gave away several types of donations for asnaf, suraus and victims of the recent fire in Kg Pimping.
“I am confident that SESB will be able to carry out its duties in terms of welfare of CSR in addition to providing an explanation on the role of SESB in Sabah,” he said recently.

Meanwhile, he also witnessed the distribution of sacrificial meat to deserving recipients in addition to RM12,000 donation by Mohd Yaacob to four suraus around Membakut, namely Surau Darul Dakwah Islamiah, Surau Al-Halim Munawarah, Surau At-Taha Binsuluk and Surau Darul Ulum Newaliu Bambangan.
Mohd Yaacob said SESB sacrificed four cows each for Putatan, Bongawan, Lok Kawi and Membakut.
Earlier, Arifin launched the Membakut Ideas Squad (SGM) which aims to help the community in their respective areas in terms of welfare, education, safety among others.
