Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Education Department has decided to implement seven new resolutions for secondary schools which they believe can improve education quality.

The seven were decided upon during a recent education management resolution conference among secondary school principals in Sabah and Labuan here, said State Education Director Datuk Raisin Saidin.

He said the resolutions were to ensure a 4.99 average grade pointer for SPM, to make school hostels a centre of excellence for character building and academic development, and for all secondary schools to use existing allocations for maintenance purposes.

The resolutions also encourage principals to become digital leaders in line with the digital education policy, allow mainstream teachers to get Form Six teaching positions and work towards achieving zero disciplinary issues in schools, he said.
