Two buses collided head-on in front of an Indian Oil petrol pump on the Farrukhnagar-Jhajjar road in the Farrukhnagar police station area on Tuesday. Several passengers, including the drivers of both buses, were injured in the accident.
Both buses were travelling via the Jhajjar road in the morning. One bus suddenly appeared from the petrol pump’s direction while the other bus, carrying passengers from Farrukhnagar, was passing it, resulting in a head-on collision between the two. More than half a dozen passengers were injured in the accident.
Locals and passersby immediately began rescue operations, pulling the injured out of the buses. The police and ambulances also arrived at the scene soon, following which the injured were admitted to a government hospital in Farrukhnagar and a hospital in Gurugram, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
After inspecting the scene and removing both buses from the road, the police launched an investigation. According to the preliminary investigation, negligence or speeding might have caused the accident.
