SEVERAL ministries are now on the radar of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
Without revealing the ministries concerned, MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said they were found to have procurement-related issues.
He said that procurement-related issues involving leakage were important.
“We will take aggressive action because this is our (MACC) responsibility to save the country’s money.
“We have been in this ‘washing the dishes’ phase since 2009 by cleaning up (corruption),” he said.
Azam said that for the Ministry of Defence, the door has been opened by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
“I welcome this and sent our officers there. We just want to help with procurement issues involving leakages,” he added. – January 22, 2026
