SEVERAL roads around the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) and Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) will be closed as part of preparations for the 49th Asean Summit on Nov. 16 to 18.
In its advisory, the Pasay Traffic and Parking Management Office said partial road closures would be implemented from Oct. 24 to Nov. 9, followed by full closures from Nov. 9 to 20.
Pasay traffic authorities advised motorists and commuters to avoid Macapagal Boulevard, Diokno Boulevard, the World Trade Center area and portions of Roxas Boulevard due to expected heavy traffic and travel delays.
Designated bus lanes will also be temporarily converted into exclusive lanes for official vehicles and delegations attending the summit.
Motorists were advised to use alternative routes, allow extra travel time and follow instructions from authorized personnel to avoid inconvenience.
It said employees working within the affected areas may be allowed to enter or pass through upon presenting a valid company ID, subject to security regulations.
