There are delays on a stretch of the M6 in the West Midlands after a lorry caught fire, National Highways has said.
The incident is affecting the motorway northbound between junctions four and six in Birmingham.
Three out of four lanes are closed, causing 90-minute delays in the area at its peak.
This has since reduced to at least 20-minutes, but Birmingham Airport advised the public to allow “extra time” for those travelling.
National Highways West Midlands said in their latest post online: “Lanes 1 & 2 (of 4) remain closed on the #M6 north between J4A #M42 junction & J5 #SuttonColdfield following a fire resulting in damage to the road. Lane 3 is now open.”
West Midlands Fire Service continue to work on scene, they added. Highways and Police colleagues were also in attendance, supporting with traffic management and vehicle recovery.
There were no casualties or injuries.
They said in a statement: “Earlier this afternoon, we attended a fire affecting a heavy goods vehicle on the M6 Northbound, between J4 for Birmingham Airport and J6 for Birmingham.
“Three fire engines from Sheldon, Hay Mills and Bickenhill responded. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels to extinguish the fire, which affected the entirety of the lorry. There were no casualties or injuries.
“After a full motorway closure, one lane re-opened. National Highways West Midlands are issuing traffic traffic updates.”
Motorists are advised to follow National Highways West Midlands for traffic updates.
Earlier this summer, two separate lorry fires caused part closure of the M25.
The motorway was shut anti-clockwise between junction 28 and junction 26 while the emergency services attend to both fires.
A heavy goods vehicle caught fire at around 3am between junctions 27 and 26, and another lorry blaze shut the motorway in the same direction between junctions 28 and 27.
Bright orange flames and smoke could be seen coming from the lorry between junctions 27 and 26, according to pictures released by National Highways.
