  • The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado moved across parts of Enid, a city of approximately 50,000 people.
  • The powerful weather caused significant damage, ripping roofs off buildings and knocking down power poles.
  • Despite the destruction, the Garfield County Sheriff's Office reported no immediate fatalities and only minor injuries hours after the tornado passed.
  • A tornado emergency alert, warning of possible golf ball-sized hail, was issued for Enid by the National Weather Service in Norman until 8:45pm CDT.
