Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are forecast for seven states and the Federal Territory of Labuan until 5 pm today, according to MetMalaysia.
KUALA LUMPUR: METMALAYSIA has issued a severe weather warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds across seven states and the entire Federal Territory of Labuan, effective until 5 pm today.
The affected areas in Peninsular Malaysia include several districts in Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Johor.
In Sarawak, the warning covers the divisions of Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit, Bintulu and Limbang.
The alert for Sabah involves interior districts such as Sipitang, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort and Tambunan, as well as areas on the state’s west coast.
The meteorological department urged residents in the listed areas to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions during the adverse weather conditions.
