Sevilla midfielder Fernando Reges says they need to think about replacing him.
The former Manchester City defensive midfielder is now 35 and has a deal to June.
Fernando told Estadio Deportivo: "I think that Sevilla has to look for a replacement for me, since I am 35 years old, but what has happened to me has nothing to do with my age.
"I had a bad time, very bad with the disease and I was there on the field. The people of the club know that I had a very bad time with the illness I had, but we do have to look for a replacement.
"Fernando isn't going to last forever, but at my age I'm still very well, without any problems and I think that now, after the illness, I'm going to be one hundred percent.
"I had a very serious illness and I was trying to play the games as well as possible. But when you're sick you can't compete one hundred percent, but now I have to think forward and start putting things on the line between everyone, both the players and the club."
