Sevilla president Pepe Castro says they stand by their actions on Friday night.

Sevilla directors refused to attend their 1-0 defeat at Barcelona in protest over the investigation into the Negreira Case. Barca have now been charged with bribery by a local judge.

Barca have since stated they've cut off "all relations" with Sevilla in response to their decision.

But Castro has hit back today, stating "if money has been paid to a referee, it is for something".

Castro spoke to the media when Sevilla arrived in Eindhoven, where they will meet PSV in the Champions League, and was very clear about what has happened in recent days.

He stated it was "very very serious that they pay 7.5 million to an active referee" and noted that they reject "those practices".

In addition, Castro pointed out that they try to "be a speaker of reality" and that what Bara is alleged to have done is something "that hurts Spanish football in general".

"We raised our voices without fear of any consequence," he added, "We have received much support from Primera and Segunda teams."
