Sg Rasau flood mitigation plan nears completion, MBSA projects under close monitoring

SHAH ALAM, Feb 25 – The current status of Phase One of the Sungai Rasau flood mitigation plan (RTB) is 80.59 per cent completed, said state executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Dato’ Izham Hashim.

All projects, including those managed by the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA), are being closely monitored to prevent major delays.

Meanwhile, as for the RTB Sungai Klang project in Section 25, he said it is 16 per cent complete, with slight delays, but no significant setbacks.

“The current status of the RTB Sg Klang project in Section 25, with a budget of RM140 million, is 16 per cent complete. While there has been a slight delay, we are closely monitoring the progress, and no significant setbacks have occurred.

“As for the RTB Sg Rasau Phase One project, it is 80.59 per cent completed. Phase Two is currently 36 per cent done, with a 10 per cent delay. The total cost of the project is RM18.6 million.

“All projects, including those managed by MBSA, are actively being monitored and implemented,” Izham said.

He was speaking during the wind-up for the Motion of Thanks on the Royal Address by Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj at the State Legislative Assembly session today.
