DATUK Seri Najib Razak's lead council tabled a letter from the Pahang Sultanate Council (Majlis Kesultanan Pahang) before the Court of Appeal this morning.
The letter confirms the existence of an addendum order allowing the former prime minister to serve his remaining jail term under house arrest.
The letter dated Jan 4 was addressed to Najib's eldest son Datuk Mohamad Nizar by the Comptroller of the Royal Household of the Sultan of Pahang Datuk Ahmad Khirrizal Ab Rahman.
Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah produced the document while submitting Najib's application to adduce additional evidence in his appeal to reinstate his judicial review against the government to disclose the alleged addendum order at the Court of Appeal today.

The letter read: "I respectfully inform you that His Royal Highness Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, in his capacity as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, has decreed that Datuk Seri Najib Razak serve the remainder of his prison sentence through house detention via an addendum order dated Jan 29, 2024.
In this regard, through this letter, I, on behalf of His Royal Highness Sultan of Pahang as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, hereby affirm that the said addendum decree of His Majesty is valid and authentic." - January 6, 2025
