Warisan president Shafie Apdal casts his ballot in Senallang, facing three challengers in the Sabah state election while urging voter turnout.

SEMPORNA: Warisan president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal cast his ballot at 8.45 am today in the Sabah state election.

The incumbent voted at Sekolah Kebangsaan Bubul in Semporna while defending his Senallang seat.

He faces three challengers in the contest: Datuk Marunda KK Ampong from Gabungan Rakyat Sabah, Mohd Lipai @ Samsu Sundalu representing Parti Impian Sabah, and Abdul Majid Angkulan of Malaysia United People’s Party.

Speaking to reporters after voting, Shafie expressed hope that more voters would come out to fulfil their civic responsibility.

He encouraged both nearby and distant voters to participate in the democratic process. – Bernama
