PENAMPANG: Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for Penampang Datuk Ewon Benedick reminded Parti Warisan President Datuk Shafie Apdal that he would not have become Chief Minister in 2018 “if not for Upko and me”.
The Kadamaian Assemblyman was refuting accusations by Shafie that he was trying to divide the mainly Kadazan voters in Penampang by contesting against Warisan’s Datuk Darell Leiking who has been MP for two terms and is facing a tough challenge.
“In his speech, Shafie questioned why I returned to Penampang to sow discord among local voters which I feel is a very unfair accusation.
