Kota Kinabalu: Putatan Member of Parliament and Tanjung Keramat Assemblyman Datuk Shahelmey Yahya accepts the Umno party leadership’s action on his membership.

On Sunday, party President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had said Shahelmey’s membership was dropped automatically but in the spirit of Unity Government, Umno would deal with Shahelmey’s status internally.

“I read about it last night and accepted it with an open heart. The way forward for me is to continue working until 2025,” he told the media after Hari Pahlawan celebrations at Padang Merdeka, here, Monday.

Meanwhile, Shahelmey, who is also Deputy Chief Minister III and State Works Minister, said the water supply in the State Capital is becoming more stable.
