As Arsenal push to close a deal, Shakhtar Donestk chief Darijo Srna met with Mykhaylo Mudryk on the training pitch yesterday.
The Ukrainian star has been Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta's priority target in transfer market, with the saga extending several weeks due to his current club holding out for a higher price than the Gunners had appeared prepared to pay.
The 22-year-old has also drawn interest from Chelsea as talks drag on, despite the forward repeatedly making it clear that he would prefer a move to the Gunners on his social media accounts.
In a clip posted by Shakhtar on social media, the forward can be seen in an intense conversation with Croatian legend Srna, before the latter zips up his jumper and pats him on the shoulder, with the player leaving with a pensive look on his face.
The Gunners have had two offers for Mudryk turned down, with the player making it clear online that he wishes to join the Londoners this month.
