KUALA LUMPUR: Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur is marking Mother’s Day with a range of curated dining experiences, offering families a variety of options from international buffets to refined Cantonese set menus.
The hotel said the special offerings are designed to celebrate mothers through a blend of premium ingredients, handcrafted dishes and themed culinary presentations across its signature restaurants.
At Lemon Garden, guests can enjoy a garden-inspired setting overlooking a koi pond while indulging in a Mother’s Day buffet on May 10.
The spread, curated by Executive Chef Eric Fettke, will feature live cooking stations and a wide selection of dishes.
Among the highlights are a burrata station with seasonal accompaniments, lobster eggs Benedict, and freshly prepared smoked salmon crêpes. The dessert selection includes rose crème brûlée and handmade chocolate truffles.
The buffet is priced at RM198 nett for lunch and RM258 nett for dinner.
Meanwhile, Shang Palace will offer an eight-course Mother’s Day set menu from May 1 to 10, showcasing refined Cantonese cuisine.
The menu begins with a double-boiled soup, followed by the restaurant’s signature Peking duck. Other dishes include golden cereal butter prawns, stir-fried cod fish with bell peppers, scallops with Chinese yam and asparagus, and shredded duck truffle noodles.
A mandarin sorbet with pomelo will be served as a palate cleanser, before desserts such as rose-infused milk chocolate mousse and osmanthus panna cotta conclude the meal.
The set menu is priced at RM250 nett per person, with a minimum of four diners required.
Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur said the dining experiences aim to provide families with an opportunity to celebrate Mother’s Day in a memorable and meaningful way.
