Jocelyn Chia’s recent insensitive remarks about Malaysia and the missing flight MH370 caused fiery rage among many Malaysians, and now, the government has also intervened in this matter.

UMNO Youth Chief, Dr. Akmal Saleh said that the party will gather in front of the United States Embassy in KL tomorrow at 2:30 pm to demonstrate a protest of the stand-up performer, Jocelyn Chia. During his speech at the UMNO Youth Congress this morning (June 8), Akmal said that Jocelyn’s remarks, especially what she had to say about Malaysia are an insult that Malaysians cannot accept.

“She said f**k you, Malaysia. Her head lah!

Akmal added that he had asked fellow members of UMNO Youth to file a police report against Jocelyn, and they will also urge the government to deny Jocelyn’s entry to Malaysia.

“Don’t ever allow Jocelyn to step onto our soil!”

To fuel the spirit further, Akmal went on and convinced the party members to be present tomorrow at the protest.

“If you’re a man, we’ll see each other tomorrow outside the US Embassy! We’ll protest as hard as we can!”

Just yesterday, a clip of Jocelyn telling jokes about Malaysia and the missing MH370 flight went viral on social media, and in just 24 hours, most of her social media accounts disappeared into thin air following the major criticisms online. This morning, Singapore’s government also confirmed that Jocelyn is no longer a Singaporean.

At the moment, Jocelyn is based in America where she was recently seen at Comedy Cellar in New York. Jocelyn also defended her remarks, saying the missing flight incident has been long enough to be a joke. At the time of writing, she has yet to make an official statement about the matter nor an apology.

You can watch and listen to Dr. Akmal’s statement here about Jocelyn Chia from the 2:33:10 mark.

With her social media now gone, it looks like Jocelyn’s road ahead will be tough before things are resolved. Regardless, do you think the protest will change a thing, or will it make Jocelyn re-emerge?
