A female livestreamer from Hubei, China, reportedly found herself in an extremely embarrassing situation after accidentally sending a private three-minute video to the wrong chat.

According to reports circulating online by ChinaPress, the woman had recorded the video intending to send it privately to a wealthy supporter who had been regularly tipping her during her livestreams.

However, instead of sending it directly to him, she accidentally selected the wrong conversation and uploaded the video into her child’s class parents’ group.

The situation became even more awkward when it was discovered that the wealthy supporter was also a parent of one of her child’s classmates — meaning he was already a member of the same group.

Once the video appeared in the parents’ chat, several members reportedly clicked on it before realising what had happened. The unexpected post quickly caused an uproar in the group.

The woman reportedly tried to delete the message as soon as she realised her mistake. Unfortunately, by then, several parents had allegedly already taken screenshots or made recordings of the video.

The incident then spread beyond the private chat, with related content reportedly circulating online.

Keywords including “Hubei Jianshi” and “Jianshi Experimental Primary School” subsequently attracted attention on Douyin, with the incident becoming a topic of discussion among netizens.

The story has also sparked a wave of reactions online. Some people focused on the sheer awkwardness of sending a private message to a school parents’ group, while others questioned how quickly content from a private chat could spread once someone had saved a copy.

The fact that the intended recipient was also a fellow parent made the situation even more uncomfortable, as the woman and her alleged long-term supporter were reportedly both members of the same group.

For many viewers, the incident is a reminder of just how disastrous sending something to the wrong chat can be — especially when the mistake involves a group filled with people from one’s everyday life.

While the woman may have been able to delete the original message, screenshots and recordings could reportedly no longer be controlled once other members had saved them.

What started as a private message intended for one person therefore quickly became a much bigger online controversy.

One wrong tap was all it took to turn a private video into a school-parent-group nightmare.
