
Kota Kinabalu: The SheDisrupts Malaysia 2023 start-up competition, aimed to empower Malaysian female founders on their entrepreneurial journey, is now open for participation.
A collaboration by Creatella Impact and Social Value Malaysia, in partnership with Global Affairs Canada and FGV Holdings Berhad, the programme strives to narrow the existing gender gaps and contribute to the nation’s economic advancement.
Online applications and venture competitions will be open until Oct 8.
The programme welcomes applications from early-stage startups with a clearly developed product idea and some traction, with at least one woman among the founders or in a leadership role, with women having 20 per cent or more of entity ownership.

Read more Up to 50 teams will be selected for the mentoring and judging sessions scheduled from 23 to Nov 10, designed to provide founders and their teams with essential business and pitching skills and a platform to showcase their business to an international audience.
The 20 most outstanding participants will join an intense three-week pre-acceleration programme starting Nov 20, covering topics on business development, technology, marketing and financial skills.
At the end of the training, participants will pitch live in front of GLI investors and receive continuous support with investor introductions.

Women entrepreneurs from rural areas and component cities as well as minority representatives are encouraged to apply for the programme.
