Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino is as surprised as anyone about the impact of Cole Palmer.
The former Manchester City youth star emerged as a transfer target for the Blues late in the window.
The big money deal to take Palmer from City to Chelsea cost the Stamford Bridge club 45 million.
However, The Mail claims that Pochettino was not heavily in favor of the signing at the time.
He felt that Chelsea had enough players with that skill set in his squad already.
However, director of recruitment Joe Shields convinced him to sign Palmer, who has been a big hit.
