A man was found dead after his neck was believed to be caught in the automatic door of a bank in Kota Kemuning today. Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd. Iqbal Ibrahim, stated that they rushed to the scene upon receiving information from the public at 7:29 am.

He mentioned that the victim was found unconscious and lying in front of the entrance of the automatic teller machine (ATM) room of the bank.

"Investigation through closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage revealed that the man was lying around 11:48 pm last night. During the incident, the victim was believed to be intoxicated before the bank's automatic door closed, causing his neck to be caught at 12:01 midnight," he said when contacted today.

Mohd. Iqbal clarified that the review found that the door reopened around 6 am. "The victim was then confirmed dead by the medical team at the scene. No identification documents were found, and the victim is estimated to be aged between 50 to 60," he added.

Furthermore, he stated that the preliminary investigation found no criminal elements in the case.

"In addition, no other injuries were detected, and the case is classified as a sudden death. Individuals with additional information can contact Investigating Officer Inspector Mohd. Shahrul at 012-3630512 or the nearest police station," he said.
