Digital e-wallet ShopeePay on Tuesday said it has partnered with unified, no-code payment platform HitPay to expand transaction access to users and businesses in the country.

While digital transactions increase, payments in the Philippines are still often fragmented for consumers and merchants, with multiple methods and platforms resulting in inconsistent checkout experiences across online and offline channels, ShopeePay said in a statement.

“This fragmentation also adds complexity to merchants’ day-to-day operations, especially for small and medium enterprises which often face higher barriers in adopting digital solutions,” said the Shoppe-integrated payment app.

The integration of ShopeePay and HitPay addresses challenges by bringing a unified, secure, and easy-to-use payment pathway to more Filipinos.

It will connect users to thousands of online and physical stores nationwide, including brands like Jisulife, Aula Philippines, Chiron Activewear, Mad Bombs, Hale Manna, and Coastal Gardens, among others.

For ShopeePay users, it will expand payment acceptance across more online and offline businesses nationwide. It can also access services such as ShopeePay Wallet for fast and convenient checkouts, SPayLater for flexible payment options, and linked bank transactions via MariBank Philippines for smooth and secure transactions.

“We want Filipinos to enjoy fast and secure online and offline payments through a more inclusive digital financial ecosystem. Our integration with HitPay strengthens this mission by making digital payments more convenient for users and more empowering for businesses,” ShopeePay head of product and marketing Hazel Sumampong said.

For HitPay merchants, the integration consolidates ShopeePay into a single, streamlined gateway, simplifying operations while unlocking access to a broader, highly engaged user base, enabling improved conversion rates, faster checkout, and more dependable payment collection for common transactions, including subscriptions.

“We’re thrilled to welcome ShopeePay into our merchant ecosystem. With mobile wallets accounting for more than 60 percent of all retail e-commerce transaction value in the Philippines, this partnership comes at an opportune time. By embedding ShopeePay directly into HitPay, we are enabling our merchants to capture this dominant shift in consumer behavior and connect seamlessly with millions of active ShopeePay users,” HitPay CEO Aditya Haripurkar said.
