Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) Sabah, in collaboration with the State Local Government and Housing Ministry (KKTP), has implemented an initiative to improve the efficiency of Short-Term Accommodation (STA) permit application process in Sabah.
The STA guidelines are important for seeking permission to operate STAs in urban and rural areas and to ensure these premises are certified safe to occupy and licensed.
This initiative has been carried out since 2023 through engagement with stakeholders held to obtain input and feedback on the draft guidelines.
