Kuala Lumpur: Comedian Joanne Kam Poh Poh (pic) is bouncing back after a recent health scare that saw her admitted to hospital in Kota Kinabalu.

In an Instagram update on May 5, Joanne said she was still under medical care but showed signs of recovery, noting she was awaiting a minor procedure before discharge.

She said: “I’m still in the hospital but as you can see my colour has come back… tomorrow they are going to do a scope and after that I can go home,” adding that she was on a controlled diet due to diabetes.

In a post on May 8, Joanne said she was ready to return to the spotlight, describing her ordeal as a “little health mishap” and thanking fans for their support, writing: “The show must go on. I am thankful for this recovery week and will be back in swing next week.” She also confirmed her return to the stage at a live comedy night at Arthur’s Storehouse, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on May 16, alongside Bibi K Poh, as she prepares to resume her performance schedule.
