TAWAU: Kalabakan Member of Parliament Datuk Andi Muhammad Suryady Bandy assured that there will be no displacement or demolition of houses involving some 600 residents of Kg Pasir Putih Empang, near here, as rumoured.

According to him, Yayasan Sabah’s action in putting up signs in the area at the beginning of this year was aimed at preventing any new construction on the land belonging to it (Yayasan Sabah).

“It (Yayasan Sabah) is actually worried about the issue of encroachment on its land and does not want any new structures or houses to be built there.
