Sinaran celebrates excellent A Level exam results

Kota Kinabalu:Institut Sinaran students obtained outstanding results for the October and November 2022 Cambridge A Level exams.

The official results were released nationwide on Jan 10 this year. For the AS (Advanced Subsidiary Level) examination, fifty-six per cent of the cohort achieved a score of at least 1A, and the college recorded a 100 per cent passing rate for Business, Chemistry, Economics, Further Mathematics and Physics for the A Level Examination.

Top achievers for the A Level examination were Chong Jia Xin, Edric Tan Jia Hong, Kalos Chhoa Tsun Yi, Ng Zi Jing, Feronia Chai Jia Ying, Lok Jian Da, Dennis Chuo Hock En, Ryan Voo Chung Fei, Christine Thien Siew Shuen, Jeriel Yong Jia Ler, Dacia Goh Yee Jun, Ethan Wong Yap Chuan, Jasmine Koh Ka Ming, Jason Thien Kai Yuan, Kew Zi Qin, Tan Hui Fang, Kenneth Liaw Vun Jian and Ruth Ng Wan Lin.

Top achievers for the Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS) examinations were Praveena Anastasia Baskaran, Samuel Wong Wen Jun, Jonathan Nicholas Furtek, Khoo Chun ROng and Ryan Raynold Suibol.

Head of School for Pre-U studies, Adam Pau expressed his gratefulness to the committed and dedicated academic faculty who have worked tirelessly in guiding all the students throughout the year.

Meanwhile, its Chief Executive Officer Michael Chin congratulated the students who have really embodied the spirit of the school motto.

“Our students have shown themselves to be adaptable and optimistic during these challenging times, and we believe that they will continue to do well in their next academic journey,” he said.

Formerly known as Sabah Tshung Tsin Pre-U Centre, this year Institut Sinaran celebrates 36 years of academic excellence, providing internationally recognised programmes of study and a conducive environment for our youth to grow as an empowered and educated future leaders.

The campus is open for visit on weekdays to all SPM, “O” Level and equivalent leavers who are planning to enroll for pre-university studies locally here in Kota Kinabalu.

Programmes of study offered include Cambridge A Level, homegrown programmes; Diploma in Commerce, Foundation in Arts, and Foundation in Science.
