Farouq and his best half, Nadja and their son, Daniel suggested for weekend family outing, my wife, Zarina and I with two of our children, Zana and Fariz, should have lunch at one of The Best Cafes tucked in the heart of Bangsar in KL. We agreed and upon arrival at Since Then, we were greeted with friendly service and impeccable presentation. It is a tasteful spot for foodies looking to mix comfort classics with the culinary adventure.
We found Since Then Cafe has industrial-chit architecture that housed in a renovated former warehouse and parking lot. It features high ceilings, natural lighting, and a Muji-like wooden-themed aesthetic paired with a curated garden. Since Then is more than just a cafe - it's a culinary and visual retreat. It also incorporates a serene garden space, creating a beautiful backdrop for socializing or hosting events. This makes it a surprisingly relaxing environment.
Five years ago, in my capacity as a Professor & Board Director of International Entreprenology (IUE) - a new equation flow of learning, I regularly visited Bangsar to meet my mentors, Dr. James Omps, IUE President & his wife, Dr. Pauline Crawford, a distinguished Author and Founder of Corporate Heart International. Whilst in KL, they were residing at one of the nice condominiums and serviced residences within walking distance or very short commute from the Bank Rakyat-Bangsar LRT station. Under their collective leadership, IUE built close ties with the World Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (WUSME) based in San Marino. Dr. Jim Omps serves as a Board Director for WUSME & concurrently President of its Commission on SME Development.
Dr. Pauline's work directly complement Dr. Jim and shared focus on human dynamics, leadership & alternative education models. Her latest book is ‘The Power of Authentic Harmony: Magical Conversations Transforming Our World’.
