SINGAPORE, Sept 8 — Singapore Airlines has retimed several Singapore-Jakarta flights and added eight relief services today as Indonesia’s main airport reopens following disruptions caused by ash from the Mount Anak Krakatau eruption.
CNA reported that SIA will operate four additional flights from Singapore to Jakarta and four return flights to help transfer affected travellers.
SIA said the extra flights are subject to seat availability and that customers will be rebooked progressively on the next available services.
“As the situation remains fluid, customers should visit our Flight Status page for the latest information on their flights,” the airline said in an advisory updated early today.

From Singapore to Jakarta
SIA said SQ950, originally set to depart Singapore at 0620hrs, will now leave at 1310hrs.
SQ952, initially scheduled for 0740hrs, will now depart at 1340hrs.
SQ956, planned for 0905hrs, will now operate at 1930hrs.
From Jakarta to Singapore
The airline said SQ953 from Jakarta, originally scheduled at 0805hrs, will now depart at 1450hrs.
SQ955, set for 0925hrs, will now leave at 1535hrs.
SQ957, planned for 1100hrs, will now operate at 2125hrs.
SIA noted that all other flights are operating as scheduled and advised customers to update their contact details or subscribe to mobile notifications to receive real‑time updates.
Eight Indonesian airports halted operations over the weekend after the volcano, located about 150km from Jakarta, erupted and sent ash into the air.
SIA cancelled 18 flights yesterday and also scrubbed one Jakarta‑bound service scheduled for early today.
The airline said customers who booked through travel agents or partner carriers should contact their respective providers for assistance.
SIA apologised to affected travellers and said its teams are working to support rebooking efforts as flights resume.
