Kota Kinabalu: Singapore has confirmed a second local case of monkeypox infection, according to a report.
The infection took the total number of confirmed cases since June to five, Singapore's Today reported.
The patient, a 48-year-old male British national resident in Singapore, tested positive for monkeypox on Wednesday.
“He is currently warded at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) and his condition is stable,” Today quoted the Ministry of Health as saying.
Contact tracing is ongoing.
