MEMBAKUT: Residents of Kampung Sinoko will soon have access to a new Klinik Desa providing basic medical examinations and healthcare services.
Kimanis Member of Parliament Datuk Mohamad Alamin said this during a visit to Klinik Desa Sinoko to inspect the progress and readiness of the new facility, which will serve the local community.
Mohamad, who is also Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, said he was pleased that construction of the new clinic had been completed and hoped the remaining improvements could be completed before it begins operations.
He said the new clinic was built to address problems faced by residents after the previous facility, located in a low-lying area, was frequently affected by floods.
“The flooding not only disrupted the clinic’s operations but also caused damage to equipment and infrastructure.
“That is why efforts to provide a new clinic at a more suitable and safer location are important for the community,” he said.
Mohamad also thanked Jakaria Amit for donating the land for construction of the new clinic.
“I would like to record my appreciation and thanks to Jakaria for donating the land for the construction of this new clinic.
“May it be a lasting charitable contribution for him and his family,” he said.
He also thanked the Beaufort District Health Office for providing a more comfortable, safe and suitable healthcare facility for the community.
Mohamad hoped the new Klinik Desa Sinoko would benefit residents in the Kimanis parliamentary constituency, particularly those from Kampung Sinoko, Kampung Bambangan and surrounding areas.
