
SIPITANG: Sipitang MP Datuk Matbali Musah plans to establish an Al-Quran and Tarannum Academy (AAT) to produce more quality Qari and Qariah in the area.
He said it is appropriate because the district has many highly talented Qari and Qariah who have the potential to represent Sipitang at a higher level competition.

“Therefore, I will discuss with the Da’wah Bureau to find ways such as funds and so on to realise this noble effort,” he said after officiating the Sipitang District Level Quran Recitation, here, Saturday.

In another development, Matbali, who is also Chairman of the Malaysian Cocoa Board (Sabah), called on the community not to be influenced by the slander that has become increasingly widespread on social media lately.

“Therefore, I advise the community not to easily believe any unclear information on social media to avoid slander that will ultimately be detrimental to ourselves.
