Siren’s Kiss K-drama ending explained: Is Seol-a able to save U-seok?
Yes, she saves Cha U-seok.
The finale of the Korean drama opens with Do Eun-hyeok confronting U-seok at gunpoint. He knocks him unconscious and ties him to a chair. When U-seok regains consciousness, he confronts Eun-hyeok, accusing him of killing the men who had dated Han Seol-a in the past.
Eun-hyeok admits to the murders, insisting that those men were not innocent and had tried to exploit Seol-a. In his mind, killing them was the only way to protect her. He adds that although he did not want to kill U-seok, he has no choice.
Seol-a arrives and pleads with Eun-hyeok to stop. He refuses and fires his gun. But Seol-a saves U-seok by stepping in front of him and taking the bullet. Soon after, the police arrive and arrest Eun-hyeok.
Meanwhile, U-seok rushes Seol-a to the hospital. She undergoes surgery and later regains consciousness.
Siren’s Kiss ending explained: What happens in the final moments of the K-drama?
After regaining consciousness, Seol-a asks U-seok to take her to the police station to confront Eun-hyeok one last time, unable to accept that the person she once trusted deeply is the real killer.
But Eun-hyeok doesn’t offer Seol-a an explanation when he is asked why he committed the murders that placed her under constant suspicion. He later confesses to the police that he not only killed the men who dated Seol-a but also her boss, Chairwoman Kim, suspecting her of exploiting Seol-a for her own gain.
In a subsequent sequence of the thriller K-drama, it is implied that Eun-hyeok takes his own life in custody, overwhelmed by the weight of his actions and the reality that Seol-a now sees him as a murderer.
In the final moments of Siren’s Kiss, Seol-a and U-seok choose to move forward together. U-seok proposes, but Seol-a reveals her plans to study art therapy abroad. However, rather than parting ways, they decide to continue their relationship, closing the story on a hopeful note.
