- An inquest at Brighton Coroner’s Court has concluded that three sisters took their own lives after their bodies were recovered from the sea in Brighton on 13 May.
- The sisters – Jane Adetoro, 36, Christina Walters, 32, and Rebecca Walters, 31 – shared a flat in Greenford, west London, prior to the tragedy.
- The deaths occurred the day after the sisters visited a lake in Birmingham where their mother, Janice Adetoro, took her own life in 2010.
- Emergency services were alerted at approximately 5.45am after a member of the public spotted someone in the water; one sister was found on the beach and two were recovered by RNLI lifeboats.
- Paying tribute to his daughters, their father Joseph Jacobson described them as the beautiful light of their family and spoke of holding onto the unbreakable bond they shared.
