Siti Nurhaliza involved in a 4-car accident on MEX Highway. Singer suffers minor leg injuries and is receiving hospital treatment.
PETALING JAYA: National icon Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza was involved in a four-vehicle accident on the Maju Expressway (MEX) earlier today while returning home from a performance.
Her manager, Rozi Sangdewi, confirmed that the incident occurred shortly after Siti, 47, had completed a showcase at RedQ AirAsia in Sepang.
“Many people have been contacting us to ask about Siti Nurhaliza. We were travelling in two cars after finishing a performance at RedQ AirAsia Sepang when the accident occurred at KM14.2 of the MEX highway,” Rozi told Kosmo!.
She clarified that four vehicles were involved in the pile-up, including the car carrying the singer. Rozi and another associate, Fairuz, were in a separate vehicle a few cars behind when the collision took place.
Following the crash, Rozi stated that Siti was safely assisted from the wreckage and immediately transferred to another vehicle to seek medical attention.
“We helped Siti out of the crashed car and into our vehicle. Siti has gone to the hospital and has sustained bruising and swelling on her leg. Alhamdulillah, everyone is safe and we thank you for your prayers,” she added.
Siti has since been confirmed to have sustained only minor injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital. Her condition is reported to be stable.
