Six blocks of Keningau workers’ quarters razed

KENINGAU: Six blocks of kongsi (worker) houses were destroyed in a fire at Kampung Suan, Mile 7, Jalan Nabawan, Tuesday evening.

The blocks, comprising three doors each, were 100pc burnt.

The Keningau Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 3.45pm and 17 personnel led by operation commander Sharudy Delimin were deployed to the scene.

Also at the location were the police and Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB).

No casualties were reported and the operation ended at 7.03pm.
