LAHAD DATU: Six candidates were confirmed to contest the Kunak state seat in the 17th Sabah election, comprising five men and one woman.
GRS candidate Datuk Norazlinah Arif will face Kasman Karate of PN, Roselih Lumayan of PIS, Ismu Isyam Arsad of PPRS, Dato Sri Anil Jeet Singh of BN and Datuk Jasa Ismail Rauddah of Warisan.
The announcement was made by Kunak Returning Officer Firuz Idzualdeen Benetty Mohd Dzul at the nomination centre in Dewan Perdana, Lahad Datu.
Supporters gathered outside the compound from early morning, encouraged by the clear weather.
The atmosphere remained calm as families, friends and party workers waited to cheer their candidates.
