KOTA KINABALU: Six people, including two children, escaped with minor injuries after a collision between two cars in Kepayan on Saturday.
The crash, which occurred around 12.30pm in front of Kampung Kepungit, involved a Subaru that caught fire after colliding with a Perodua Myvi.
All six occupants, four from the Myvi and two from the Subaru, were rescued by passers-by before firemen arrived.
The victims were later sent to the hospital by Health Ministry and Fire and Rescue Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) teams.
Firefighters from Kota Kinabalu station extinguished the blaze and confirmed the scene was safe before ending the operation at 1.03pm.
