TAWAU: Six candidates including two independents were registered by the Election Commission for the Tawau parliamentary seat in the Nov-19 General Election.

The candidates are Chen Ket Chuin (Warisan), Datuk Chin Chee Syn (Independent), Mohd Salleh bin Bacho (Independent), incumbent Datuk Christina Liew (Pakatan Harapan-PKR), Herman bin Amdas (GTA) and Lo Su Fui (GRS-PBS).

It was a sunny day in Tawau and the nomination was between 9am and 10am. The Returning Officer was Tuan Mohd Shoffian Mohd Said, who is also the Deputy President of the Tawau Municipal Council.
