
RANAU: Six people were injured while another escaped unhurt after three vehicles collided and overturned in the middle of the road near here on Wednesday.
Ranau Fire and Rescue chief Rantey Fred said the incident at 3.20pm occurred in front of a convenience store along Jalan Lohan Ranau, involving two Isuzu D-Max vehicles and a Proton Persona.
A team of six firefighters was dispatched to the scene, located about 12 kilometres from the station, following an emergency call.
Three victims were taken to the hospital by members of the public, while another was transported using the Fire and Rescue Emergency Medical Rescue Services vehicle, and the operation concluded at 4pm.
Rantey reminded motorists to drive cautiously, particularly along narrow, winding village roads and in rainy conditions, to ensure everyone returns home safely to their families.
