The UT Administration has constituted a six-member committee to implement and improve the single-window system in Chandigarh.

Headed by Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav, other members of the committee include D Karthikeyan, Secretary Information Technology, Avikesh Gupta, Director Information Technology, Nitish Singla, Director School Education, Vivek Verma, State Informatics Officer (SIO), National Informatics Centre (NIC), UT, and any other member which they like to involve can be included by the chairman of the committee.

According to officials, the committee will study the best practices across the states, will also work on simplifying the procedures and processing re-engineering for various kind of services to the citizens. The committee will also work towards reducing the burden of compliances on citizens and making the approvals citizen-friendly.

The committee will also evaluate the solutions for providing unified services to the citizens of the city.
