LAHAD DATU: Six individuals, including two young boys, were rescued after their fibre boat began leaking off Pulau Timbun Mata, Kunak, on Sunday.
The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) responded swiftly after receiving an alert from the Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre in Kota Kinabalu at 1.45pm.
The boat, en route to deliver reverse osmosis (RO) water to a General Operations Force post, reportedly leaked after hitting a floating log.
