AUTHORITIES in Kuala Lumpur are continuing their investigation into an alleged sexual assault at a Sekolah Agama Rakyat (SRA) in Kampung Pandan, with six witnesses questioned so far to assist in the probe.

Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, Datuk Fadil Marsus, said the investigation is ongoing and stressed that there is no confirmation at this stage regarding the existence of other potential victims.

“The investigation is continuing, and all aspects related to the case are being thoroughly examined. Preliminary inquiries also found that the suspect has no prior criminal record,” he stated on Sunday.

The suspect has been remanded for six days, from 20 to 25 December 2025, to facilitate further questioning. “The investigation papers will be completed and submitted to the Public Prosecutor promptly for further instructions,” Fadil added.

Earlier, authorities confirmed they had received a report concerning the incident, which involved a student at the religious school in Kampung Pandan. Wangsa Maju District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohamad Lazim Ismail, previously reported that the complaint was lodged at 4.16 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police have emphasised that the probe remains active, with all relevant leads being pursued, as the authorities work to ensure justice and protection for all parties involved. - December 21, 2025
